“THE WHALE" comes to Chennai

Concrete Temple Theatre's Carlo Adinolfi, Renee Philippi and Casey McLain at the workshop at Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai

U.S. Consulate General, Chennai presented the play "The Whale" by the New York based Concrete Temple Theatre as part of The Hindu MetroPlus Theatre Festival on August 7, 2008.  The one-man-show led by Carlo Adinolfi, used stunning handcrafted props, innovative lighting and creative sounds to lead an audience of 900+ through a mesmerizing tale of adventure and drama in the high seas based on Herman Melville's classic Moby Dick.  The Concrete Temple Theatre also conducted two separate voice, movement and performance workshops “Page to Stage” for students and professional theatre actors on August 8, 2008 at "Ethiraj College for Women" and "Women's Christian College" respectively.

“The Whale” is currently continuing its journey to other cities in India (including Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore) and Sri Lanka before returning to New York at the end of August.
