Fulbright scholar Daniel Kelin and Vice Consul Bridget Bittle talked about ‘popular’ American culture in a lively webchat on May 24. Participants recognized there is more to America than what we see in movies or on television, and that we can find ways to learn about the U.S. through arts, literature, cultural programs and people-to-people interaction. Earth Day Webchat
Fulbright-Nehru Visiting Lecturer Dr. Michael Swift engaged audiences on an Earth Day webchat about climate change. He provided practical tips on what we can do to protect the environment such as converting lights to LED technology, use building codes and planning to utilize solar cells, and turn off unnecessary lights. Webchat Clarifies the Student Visas Process
A U.S. Consular Officer answered questions for over 100 visitors on Tuesday. The live webchat gave participants an understanding of the student visa process, and offered useful tips. American Engineering’s Edge
The Bangalore Virtual Consulate hosted a yet another lively web chat to provide students, parents and educators a forum to ask questions about “Engineering Education in America,” on Thursday, February 18. Vice Consul Ravi Srivastava, formerly a teacher and student in both India and the U.S., shared his understanding.
