Rebecca Seweryn
Rebecca Seweryn is a Vice Consul at the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1999 with a B.A. in International Politics and Economics. In 2001 she earned a M.S. and in 2005 a Ph.D. in Economics from Arizona State University. Rebecca taught at Arizona State while earning her degrees and continued her teaching career as an Assistant Professor at Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota. In 2006, Rebecca joined Moody’s Economy.com where she worked as an Economist and then Senior Economist. In 2008, Rebecca started government service at the Department of Commerce before moving to the Department of State in 2009. Chennai is her first posting.
