USEFI Pre-Departure Orientation For U.S.-Bound Students

NEW DELHI – The United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI) is hosting a pre-departure orientation program on Friday, August 3, for students beginning their courses in the United States in Fall 2007. The program will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fulbright House, 12, Hailey Road, New Delhi- 110001. All U.S. bound students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The orientation program will prepare students for their arrival in the U.S., offering tips on international travel and advice on navigating customs and immigration. The program will also help explain the American academic environment, American society and culture, and will provide practical tips for living and studying in the United States.
Students will have the opportunity to meet with consular officers from the U.S. Embassy, Fulbright scholars, U.S. university graduates and continuing students, Indian and American faculty and other professionals. They will also have the chance to network with fellow Indian students going to the United States, and will receive a detailed information booklet. Seats are limited, so interested students should register as soon as possible.
