Papa John’s in Nungambakkam

U.S. Consul General Jennifer McIntyre inaugurated the opening of Papa John’s first dine-in store in Chennai on Friday, February 3, 2012, noting the promising opportunities offered by franchises for both the United States and India.

Papa John's International Pizza Co. was brought to Chennai through FCS India’s “Focus Franchise” program in partnership with Om Pizzas and Eats, which owns the franchisee rights to the pizza chain in India. Chennai-based private equity investor TVS Capital Funds has also invested funds with Om Pizzas to support the franchise.

There are currently 3,000 Papa John’s outlets worldwide, with 37 in India.
