Dear U.S. citizens:

The United States Consulate General in Chennai is pleased to announce that the Consulate will be hosting the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) on June 2, 2012 from 09:00 am to 12:30 pm. The FSOT is the first step to joining the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. Prior to appearing for the FSOT, candidates are required to complete an on-line registration process and schedule their test appointment.

Key dates:

Monday, May 21, 2012 (at 9:00 AM CDT): Last date for candidates intending to test overseas to submit completed registration forms.

 Friday, May 25, 2012 (at 9:00 AM CDT): Deadline for candidates to schedule test seats at overseas sites. Please schedule tests seats early.

Saturday, June 2, 2012 : Test day at the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai. 09:00am to 12:30pm
