Leon W. Gendin
Leon is a Consul at the American Consulate General Chennai. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 1986 and a Master's degree in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1996. In his varied career, he has worked as an accountant, manager and teacher. Leon also served as an elections supervisor for the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in post-conflict Bosnia-Herzegovina. He has also worked at the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo and at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, China. In 2004, Leon joined the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. He served as Consular Officer in Manila, Philippines and Kyiv, Ukraine.
