Consul General is Chief Guest at ExNoRa Launch
 U.S. Consul General Andrew T. Simkin participated in the launch of the ExNoRa Environmental Standard Organization (EESO), which aims to provide practical solutions to reduce carbon footprints.

Living Legend Stevie Wonder’s Music – Signed, Sealed and Delivered
 More than 800 enthusiastic audience members sang and danced along with the performers as they belted out more than 25 of Stevie Wonder’s best known songs at a concert on Saturday, June 27, 2009 evening at The Music Academy, Chennai.

 The U.S. Consulate General-Chennai celebrated two graduation ceremonies recently at two “Access” program sites in Chennai – Anjuman Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Home for Poor Boys at Madrasa-I-Azam.

Consul General Andrew T. Simkin and Mrs. Simkin inaugurate the Consulate General’s poster exhibit on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month.  The exhibit is on display in the American Library during the month of June.

American Library Marks Gay and Lesbian Pride Month
 The month of June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month, a time to rededicate ourselves to the elimination of violence and discrimination against people based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
