A Former White House And Presidential Campaign Reporter Discusses The U.S. Elections Process With South Indians
Former White House and U.S. Presidential Campaign reporter Jodi Enda discussed U.S. elections, past and present, with students, academics, journalists and think tanks in Bangalore, Pondicherry and Chennai during her recent U.S. Consulate sponsored tour of South India from October 14-21. Having covered the Presidential campaigns and White House years of Bill Clinton and George Bush, Ms. Enda provided a unique insight into the U.S. electoral process and shared many insider stories at the Asian College of Journalism, Observer Research Foundation, University of Madras, Bharatidasan Government College for Women, Garden City College and Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media. She also answered questions pertaining to the influence of polling data, campaign financing, and the critical policy issues playing a role in this year’s Presidential election. Ms. Enda was impressed with the level of interest in the U.S. elections and the warm welcome she received.
