Poet Asks Writers to Become Activists for Change
American poet Anne Waldman was Chief Guest at the Thunchan Memorial Literary Festivals in Tirur, Kerala on Tuesday, February 3, and later addressed students of Farook College Calicut and MES College Mampad on the topic “Poets for Social Change.” She enthralled audiences with high-spirited renditions of her poems.

American Rock band “Hurricane Bells” enthralled thousands of students at Saarang and Riviera, the two largest student cultural festivals in South India. Cheered on by huge crowds at each venue -- over 6000 at Saarang and 3000 at Riviera – “Hurricane Bells” belted out their hit songs.
