Fees

Immigrant visa fees must be paid by a demand draft on a nationalized or foreign bank with a Chennai branch in favor of "American Consulate General, Chennai."

For purposes of conversion into Indian Rupees, please use the rate of Rs. 42 per 1 US dollar. (W.E.F. March 12, 2008)

Note: A $65 issuance fee for immigrant visas is due ONLY IF it has not already been paid to the National Visa Center.

Courier Delivery Fees Please pay courier charges Rs.365/- per applicant, by cash at VFS office.

Diversity Visa Lottery application fee $355.00 (per person applying as a result of the lottery program), surcharge fee: $45.00 and special additonal surcharge fee $375.00

Affidavit of Support Review (only when AOS is reviewed domestically), Form I-864 : $70.00
