How to Pay
An applicant can pay any immigrant visa fee in Indian rupees by demand draft at the U.S. Consulate. We accept checks, traveler's checks, cash or credit cards. Demand drafts must be from a national or foreign bank with a Chennai branch (no cooperative banks are allowed), payable to "U.S. Consulate General, Chennai." Visa fees are not refundable.
A few tips:
- Please write the applicant's name, case number and passport number on the back of the demand draft.
- Courier Delivery Fees: Please pay courier charges Rs.387/- per applicant by cash at the VFS office.
If the case involves refugee or significant public benefit parole case processing: No fees charged.
