2011 Fulbright Fellowship for Science and Technology

New Delhi - The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) is now accepting applications for the 2011-12 International Fulbright Science and Technology (IFST) Award for Ph.D. study in science, technology, and engineering at top U.S. institutions. One of the most prestigious international scholarships in science and technology, the IFST Award is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and funds up to three years of study.

Approximately 45 awards worldwide will be offered to candidates demonstrating unique aptitude for innovation in scientific fields.Up to two principal nominations and one alternate nomination from India will compete for the 2011-12 awards with candidates from around the world.

Eligible fields of study include aeronautics and astronomics/aeronautical engineering, agriculture (theoretical or research-based focus only), astronomy/planetary sciences, biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, computer sciences/engineering, energy, engineering (electrical, chemical, civil, mechanical, ocean, and petroleum), environmental science/engineering, geology/earth and atmospheric sciences, information sciences and systems (engineering focus only), materials science/engineering, mathematics, neurosciences, oceanography, public health (theoretical research focus only)and physics.
