The Bangalore Virtual Consulate of the US Mission in south India hosts Live Web Chat on Campus Life in America

November 18, 2009

Chennai: The Bangalore Virtual Consulate of the US Mission in south India is pleased to host a live web chat with a U.S. student on what life is like on an American university campus, Wednesday, November 18, 2009. The web chat will be live from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on November 18.

The live chat will provide prospective students and parents an opportunity to ask questions related to studying and living in America. Would you like to study abroad at an America institution but have concerns about what life in America is like? For example, is studying in the U.S. safe? How will I integrate into campus culture? Will I be able to observe Indian holidays? What if I get homesick for my local cuisine? How will I pay for my U.S. education? What type of activities and support systems do universities provide for international students?

Join Whitney, a third year student at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and get your important questions answered.

If you would like to participate in this web chat, please go to https://statedept.connectsolutions.com/bangalore

No registration is needed. Simply choose "Enter as a Guest," type in your preferred screen name, and join the discussion. Questions and comments will be accepted in advance of, and at any time during, the program.
