Anju Bhargava, Member, President’s Advisory Council on Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships Visits Chennai

Chennai, August 24:  Ms. Anju Bhargava, originally a native of Chennai, was recently appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.  One of the objectives of the Council is to foster interfaith dialogue around the world.  At the invitation of the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai, Ms. Anju Bhargava will be facilitating an interfaith dialogue among college students on August 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at St. Clair Hall, Stella Maris College, 17 Cathedral Road, Chennai 600 086

Ms. Bhargava, a former student of Stella Maris College, Chennai, is the Director of Global Synergy Associates, an international management consulting firm. She is also the founding president of the New Jersey-based Asian Indian Women of America.  In the community arena, she served as a Community Builder Fellow for President Bill Clinton's White House initiative (1998-2000), where she fostered partnerships and facilitated economic, workforce, and business development.  She is an ordained pujari and counselor, and volunteers at St. Barnabas Pastoral Care Department and Livingston’s Interfaith Clergy Association.
