“Know The U.S.” Quiz in Puducherry
Chennai, July 15: The U.S. Consulate General-Chennai is organizing a quiz contest entitled “Know The U.S.” in Puducherry on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 12:30 to 4:15 p.m. It will be held at the Alliance Francaise, 58 Sufferen Street (Near Fab India), Puducherry 605 001. This event is being co-sponsored by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Puducherry.
Teams from 25 schools in and around Puducherry are expected to participate. The quiz will focus on general knowledge of American history, geography, society, personalities, elections, government, culture and current affairs. The top three winning teams will win trophies for their school and other exciting gifts.
Dr. S. Sundaravadivelu, Director of School Education, Government of Puducherry will honor the winning teams by handing out the prizes during the award ceremony. Mr. Ajay Virmani, Chairman, IACC-Puducherry will also be present.
The finals of the quiz begin at 4:00, followed by the award ceremony at 4:15.
