Invitation to a Digital Video Conference on Friday November 21, 2008 at Loyola College

Chennai, November 20: United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) and the American Consulate General, Chennai in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Principals’ Association Madras University Chapter invite you to participate in the Digital Video Conference (DVC) with the University of Dayton, Ohio, United States, during the International Education Week (IEW). This year, the theme underpinning the week long celebration of International Education Week (Nov 17-21, 2008) is Structuring Links for International and Cultural Exchanges (SLICE 2008).

The DVC will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. at Loyola College, Chennai 34. We request all participants to be seated by 5.45 p.m.

The panelists for the DVC are drawn from a diverse background of academia and administration from the State of Ohio, the heartland of Innovation and Invention. The panel comprises four speakers and they will bring to the table fresh and unique perspectives in fields of collaboration, partnership and exchanges highlighting the central theme of IEW 2008 - Internationalism, Individualism and Interchange. The University hosting the DVC in the United States is The University of Dayton, Ohio.

The audience invited to the DVC is an eclectic mix of Deans, Administrators, Heads Of Departments, Faculty and Policy Makers drawn from across Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Panelists will present their perspectives and this will be followed by an interactive Q/A session. A detailed agenda for the DVC and short biographies of panelists are enclosed for your reference.
