U.S. Consul General Jennifer McIntyre addressed the guests at the Ninth Nagamani Dharmapuri Oration on Thursday, December 22, 2011.

“At a government-to-government level, health is a key pillar in our Strategic Dialogue. Both the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have robust partnerships with leading Indian institutions in a range of health areas,” Consul General McIntyre remarked.

She praised Fulbright Visiting Lecturer, Dr. Dharmapuri and Sankara Nethralaya for having organized the program.

“For over 60 years, Fulbright - and now Fulbright-Nehru - scholarships have played a central role in bringing together the brightest minds from our two countries to share their experiences and expertise,” Consul General McIntyre noted.
