U.S. Consul General Jennifer McIntyre lights the lamp to inaugurate the 40th anniversary of Caterpillar’s Thiruvallur manufacturing plant.

U.S. Consul General Jennifer McIntyre joined Caterpillar to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their plant in Thiruvallur on November 30, 2011. “This facility embodies the mutually beneficial nature of the Indo-U.S. economic partnership,” noted CG McIntyre.  “Caterpillar’s Thiruvallur plant has directly contributed to Tamil Nadu’s economic growth by creating hundreds of jobs and manufacturing trucks and backhoes specifically tailored for the Asian market.”
